Commuters travelling towards the capital on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway, will face restricted movement on Alipura Bridge due to repair work, according to Highway Police.
From 1pm to 2:30pm on Friday, vehicular movement on Dhaka-bound lane of the bridge, located after Daudkandi Bridge, will be limited to a single lane while repairs are carried out by the Roads and Highways Department.
Narayanganj Roads and Highways Department Executive Engineer Abdur Rahim confirmed the matter.
Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys with sufficient time in hand.
Relevant stakeholders have also been requested to swiftly convey information regarding this unexpected situation to public.
The notification was issued by Tarique Latif, staff officer to additional IGP, Highway Police.
