Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) held two workshops at Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Headquarters on Wednesday to finalise a documentary and factsheets on climate-resilient infrastructure.
The materials will serve as references for engineers and researchers after the project concludes, said a press release on Thursday.
The workshops covered the draft script for the documentary and the layout for the factsheets. Both were produced under the Lessons Learned and Best Practices Video Documentation initiative of CReLIC, which operates under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project of LGED.
LGED Chief Engineer Md Belal Hossain attended the event as chief guest. He said LGED is continuously working to build innovative and durable infrastructure to address the risks posed by climate change. He noted that the documentary and factsheets would enrich CReLIC’s Knowledge Management System and serve as references for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions and other stakeholders.
CReLIC Director and LGED Additional Chief Engineer Kazi Saiful Kabir chaired the workshops. He said the feedback gathered would help refine the quality of the documentary and factsheets. He stated that CReLIC’s core objective is to document and widely disseminate successful models and experiences in climate-resilient infrastructure, and that the materials would continue to serve as guiding references for engineers and researchers implementing new infrastructure in the future.
Arani Advertising Ltd Team Leader Pankaj Palit, Arani Advertising Ltd Senior Manager (Operations) Rajib Ahmed and Arani Advertising Ltd Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam presented their remarks through PowerPoint presentations.
LGED Additional Chief Engineers Abul Bashed Mohammad Rezaul Bari and Md Wahiduzzaman, former LGED additional chief engineer Md Ahsan Habib, Superintending Engineers Abdul Hamid and Md Rayhan Siddique, project directors, executive engineers and senior assistant engineers of various projects, CRIMP-CReLIC Executive Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, CRIMP-CReLIC Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul and CReLIC expert consultants Md Abdul Noor, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Sadekur Rahman Bhuiyan, Md Masudur Rahman and Syed Mahbub Ahsan attended the programme.
