Bangladesh’s garment manufacturers are getting direct access to global suppliers of yarn, fabrics, accessories and textile chemicals as the 13th Bangladesh Yarn, Fabrics & Accessories Show 2026 opened in Dhaka on Thursday.
Held alongside the Bangladesh TEXCHEM Expo 2026, the four-day trade event aims to help apparel producers explore new sourcing options, adopt modern technologies and strengthen links with international suppliers.
Organised by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, the event at International Convention City Bashundhara features more than 150 local and international companies showcasing yarn, fabrics, garment accessories and textile chemical products for Bangladesh’s apparel industry.
The exhibition brings together garment manufacturers, exporters, buying houses and fabric processors at a time when the country’s apparel sector is seeking higher-value products, improved efficiency and greater competitiveness in global markets.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association President Mohammad Hatem inaugurated the event as chief guest.
Speaking at the opening, Hatem stressed the need for stronger government policy support to boost investment and industrial growth. He also called for simplifying certification processes to help retain existing investors and attract new investment.
“Alongside attracting foreign investment, it is also necessary to ensure a favourable environment to retain existing investors in the country,” Hatem said.
He said the exhibition provides local entrepreneurs an opportunity to connect directly with foreign suppliers and gain access to innovative technologies that can support industrial development.
Bangladesh University of Fashion & Technology Vice-Chancellor Ayub Nabi Khan attended the opening ceremony.
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association Director Kazi Mizanur Rahman was also present at the event.
Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association President Md Shahriar attended the ceremony, along with Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry Vice-President Masud Ali Khan.
Bangladesh Merchandisers and Suppliers Association President Mehedi Hasan Bhuiyan also attended the opening ceremony.
ASK Trade & Exhibitions Managing Director Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan said access to new technologies and innovative sourcing solutions is essential for the future growth of Bangladesh’s apparel sector.
“The key objective is to bring international suppliers closer to local exporters and manufacturers,” he said.
The event includes a special pavilion from CHEMEXCIL India, creating opportunities for local manufacturers to explore sourcing options for textile chemicals and related products.
A wide range of products, including yarn for woven and knitted garments, blended yarns, wool and suit fabrics, printed fabrics, sports fabrics and home textiles, are being displayed at the show.
Garment accessories and modern processing technologies, including embroidery and hot stamping solutions, are also being showcased.
Organisers said the exhibition will help local manufacturers connect directly with international suppliers and source materials needed for export-oriented production.
The show will remain open for business visitors from 11am to 7pm.
