BLACKPINK member Lisa has addressed the controversy surrounding leaked footage from her trainee days, apologising for using a racial slur in the videos and acknowledging that she now understands why the language was harmful.

The Thai singer and rapper discussed the controversy in her documentary, Always Lalisa, which explores her journey from trainee to global music star.

Lisa said she regretted her past behaviour and had educated herself about the impact of the offensive language. She acknowledged that she should not have used the word and expressed remorse over the incident.
