Rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has received another summons from Maharashtra Cyber Cell over an alleged objectionable remark made during a concert in Delhi.
According to NDTV, authorities have asked him to appear for questioning on 16 October.
According to reports, Singh missed three previous summons, citing his stay abroad as the reason for his absence.
A senior cyber police official has warned that authorities may begin the process of issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) if he fails to appear on the latest date.
The case stems from a video of the concert that went viral on social media, drawing criticism over an alleged sexually explicit remark.
A complaint subsequently prompted the cyber police to register a case and begin an investigation.
Singh later issued a video apology, saying the clip had been edited in a way that offended people.
He maintained that he never intended to hurt or insult anyone and said he had attempted to discuss safe sex with a younger audience.
The latest development follows another controversy involving his song Volume 1, which faced legal scrutiny earlier this year.
