Gold Kinen Technologies Limited has won the Fintech Innovation of the Year award in the Tech category at the fourth Bangladesh Fintech Awards 2026 for its technology-driven gold savings platform, which allows customers to start saving in 22-karat gold from just Tk 500.
The company also received an honourable mention in the Financial Inclusion category, marking its second consecutive year of recognition at the awards, it said in a press release issued in Dhaka on Monday.
The technology award recognised Gold Kinen’s initiative, “Democratising Gold Saving: Technology-Enabled Financial Inclusion for Bangladesh”, while the financial inclusion honour acknowledged its innovation, “Making Gold Accessible: A New Path to Financial Inclusion”.
Gold Kinen Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Kamran Sunjoy Rahman, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founder Rafatul Bari Labib and Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder Atef Hasan Isa received the awards.
The company previously received an honourable mention in the Fintech Start-up of the Year category at the third Bangladesh Fintech Awards in 2025.
Gold Kinen operates a technology-enabled platform that allows customers to buy and save 22-karat hallmarked and certified gold in fractional amounts, starting from Tk 500 at the official market price.
Customers can gradually accumulate gold according to their financial capacity and collect their savings as physical gold bars and coins in denominations ranging from 0.5 grams to 10 grams.
The platform seeks to lower the entry barrier to gold saving, making it more affordable, accessible and convenient for customers across Bangladesh.
The latest recognition comes as Gold Kinen continues its nationwide gold savings campaign featuring actor Mosharraf Karim, aimed at bringing gold saving into broader public discussion.
The company said the awards would encourage it to expand access to gold saving among different demographic groups while continuing to develop technology-driven services that help customers incorporate gold into their savings habits.
