Netflix’s Korean original Teach You a Lesson has become one of the platform’s biggest global hits, overtaking The Glory to enter the list of its five most-watched Korean original series. The thriller has amassed more than 46.6 million views worldwide and topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV chart for four consecutive weeks.
The 10-episode drama stars Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo and Pyo Ji-hoon. Since premiering on 5 June, it has steadily expanded its global audience, cementing its place among Netflix’s strongest-performing Korean productions.

Based on the popular webtoon Get Schooled, the series follows the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB), a government-backed organisation that steps into schools where conventional discipline has failed. Using controversial methods, the team tackles deeper problems within the education system.

Without revealing major plot twists, Teach You a Lesson blends psychological suspense, emotional storytelling and sharp social commentary. Rather than presenting clear heroes and villains, it explores morally complex characters and difficult questions about discipline and justice. Its tense pacing and strong performances have helped it stand out from conventional school dramas.

According to Netflix’s Tudum Global Top 10 rankings for 22–28 June, the series remained the No. 1 Non-English TV title for a fourth consecutive week with 7.3 million views. Netflix calculates its rankings by dividing total viewing hours by each title’s running time.

The drama has entered Netflix’s Top 10 in 75 countries and regions, reaching No. 1 in markets including Japan, Hong Kong and Indonesia. During the same week, Agent Kim Reactivated ranked third globally, Brave New World finished seventh with 6.6 million views, and Notes from the Last Row placed eighth.
