Shakib Khan and filmmaker Himel Ashraf are joining forces again, this time for a new film titled Mohabbat. Produced by Arshad Adnan, the film is set to hit cinemas during Eid-ul-Azha 2027.
The makers announced the project on Thursday evening, unveiling its first poster and promising a new story and a new journey.
“Sometimes love comes with a price, a promise and a struggle… Introducing Mohabbat, the beginning of a new story and a new journey. See you next Qurbani Eid!” Himel, Arshad and Shakib wrote in separate Facebook posts.
The announcement quickly caught attention online. Within about an hour of the poster’s release, Mohabbat and Shakib Khan began trending on social media. Shakib’s official Facebook post had drawn more than 50,000 reactions, nearly 4,000 comments and around 1,000 shares.
Mohabbat marks the third collaboration between Shakib and Himel. The director previously worked with the star on Priyotoma and Rajkumar, both produced by Arshad Adnan.
The makers have yet to reveal details about the film’s story, Shakib’s co-star or the shooting schedule.
Sources, however, said a foreign actress may appear opposite Shakib in the film.
