BNP high command has initiated a nationwide move to reinforce the party’s grassroots organisations. Since the formation of the government, the party’s organisational activities have gradually weakened, prompting the leadership to take measures to strengthen BNP and its affiliate and associate bodies.
As part of this initiative, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held an exchange meeting with field-level leaders from Rangpur division on Saturday at the Chairman’s office in Gulshan.
Commenting on the session, Additional Press Secretary to the prime minister, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, said this is part of a series of continuous meetings.
He added that Chairman Tarique Rahman is conducting these exchange meetings to keep the grassroots organisations strong, while personally inquiring about their status and providing necessary instructions.
The meeting was attended by leaders from Rangpur Metropolitan, as well as Rangpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Gaibandha, and Lalmonirhat districts.
Senior party figures present at the meeting included Senior Joint General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Organising Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu, and Assistant Organising Secretary Abdul Khaleque.
Previously, on 20 July, Tarique Rahman held a similar meeting with grassroots leaders from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, and Panchagarh districts. It was further indicated that exchange meetings with grassroots leaders from various other divisions will be held in the coming days.
