Bangladeshi presenter and content creator Tama Rashid has made history by winning the 2026 Mrs. Independent International title, marking a first for Bangladesh on the global stage.
Representing Bangladesh, Tama competed against participants from around 40 countries at the grand finale held in Thailand on Sunday, April 26 . She was ultimately declared the winner of the international pageant, which focuses on personality, presentation and overall performance.
Speaking to the media after her victory, Tama said the achievement carried special significance as it was the first time Bangladesh had secured the title. She described the moment as an overwhelming honour while representing her country on an international platform.
She noted that the competition was highly challenging, particularly during the final stages, where she faced strong contenders including participants from India. Tama credited her performance across costume, walk and quiz segments as key factors in her win.
Following her return to Bangladesh, expected on Tuesday afternoon, Tama said she plans to continue her work as a presenter while also mentoring young women interested in participating in international pageants.
