After months away from the camera, actress Tania Brishty is looking to make her return to shooting this month as she continues her recovery from a serious illness.

Tania was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February and underwent surgery in Bangladesh. She travelled to Chennai on 9 March for further treatment and underwent another operation there. After returning home in early April, she remained focused on treatment and rest.

During a Facebook Live session on Saturday, Tania said she is currently in the fourth month of a six-month chemotherapy course. She will undergo tests after completing the treatment, following which her doctors will decide the next steps.

“I want to start shooting from this month. Discussions are under way,” she said.

Tania, who has been away from shooting for nearly nine months, also thanked fans for standing by her throughout her illness.

Her film ‘Tribunal’, directed by Raihan Khan, is also awaiting completion.
