HSC examinees blocked the Science Lab intersection in Dhaka for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, pressing a three‑point demand that includes the resignation of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon. The blockade halted traffic through the busy junction.
Following the day’s HSC exam, students took position on the road as part of their previously announced programme before beginning a “Long March towards the Education Ministry.”
Additional police were deployed in the area to prevent untoward incidents.
Students also blocked roads at Uttara and nearby areas, chanting slogans and triggering severe gridlock on routes including Nilkhet, Elephant Road and Azimpur.

Commuters were seen using alternative routes. Demonstrations were staged in Savar as well, protesting the continuation of exams amid adverse weather and alleged errors in question papers.
The protest began around 1:30pm.
Students said holding exams in bad weather caused suffering for many examinees, and alleged that the physics first paper on 13 July contained errors.
On Tuesday, students in Dhaka and other districts staged demonstrations and road blockades demanding postponement of exams.

Their three‑point demand also includes suspension of HSC and equivalent exams until the disaster situation ends, and arrangements for retaking the 13 July exam for those unable to attend due to adverse weather.
The Inter‑Education Board Coordination Committee, however, stated that only the Chattogram Education Board postponed exams due to waterlogging, while all other boards held exams as scheduled. A high‑level meeting at the Education Ministry upheld the same decision.
