The Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds over four districts, with wind speeds reaching 45–60 km per hour.
The warning was issued on Friday in a weather bulletin for the country’s inland river ports.
According to the forecast, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions may experience rain or thundershowers with gusty or squally winds blowing from the west or north-west at speeds of 45–60 km per hour.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist signal number 1.
