Square Pharmaceuticals PLC has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Dhaka-based C2C Pharma Ltd to expand production capacity amid rising demand for its existing products and support the launch of new ones.
The company’s board approved the agreement at a meeting on Sunday, according to a disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday.
Under the arrangement, C2C Pharma will manufacture selected products on behalf of Square Pharmaceuticals, enabling the drug maker to increase output without expanding its own production facilities.
Square said the agreement is intended to meet growing market demand while facilitating the introduction of new products.
The company also disclosed that although the DSE had requested a copy of the agreement, the exchange had not yet received the document.
Square Pharmaceuticals shares, with a face value of Tk10 each, closed 0.71 per cent lower at Tk224.90 on the DSE on Monday.
