With a view to making credit facilities more accessible and dynamic for the micro and cottage industry entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, Shimanto Bank PLC signed an agreement with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
The agreement, signed under Credit Enhancement Scheme of PKSF, was finalised at a programme recently held at PKSF Bhaban in Dhaka, said a press release on Thursday.
The primary objective of this joint initiative is to boost economic activities at the grassroots level by creating opportunities for marginal and emerging entrepreneurs to access easy-term financing through microfinance institutions.
Shimanto Bank Managing Director & CEO Md Nurul Azim and PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader were present at the signing ceremony.
Shimanto Bank Head of Business Md Sahidul Islam, Head of SME Department Md Faridul Islam, and Deputy Managing Director of PKSF Md Hasan Khaled were also present at the event.
