Samanzar Sayeed has been crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026 at the grand finale held at the Mallika Hall of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden on Saturday evening.
According to The Daily Star, Samanzar will represent Bangladesh at the 75th Miss World Festival, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The international pageant is scheduled to begin on 9 August, while the grand finale will take place on 5 September.
Swagata Saha Oishi finished as the first runner-up, while Labiba Manzur secured the second runner-up position.
Opening the event, Azra Mahmood, founder of Azra Mahmood Talent Camp and National Director of Miss World Bangladesh, reflected on the organisation’s journey. She said the initiative was launched to empower young people through modelling and presentation skills and has continued to grow over the years.
Mahmood said the organisation has completed 10 batches of modelling training, with many graduates now pursuing successful careers in the industry.
The judging panel included Shirin Akhter Sheela, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019; Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Miss World Bangladesh 2019; Sheikh Saifur Rahman, consultant at Half Fashion and a heritage textile specialist; Mehrin Afroze Chowdhury, Editor of Star Lifestyle at The Daily Star; and Efa Tabassum, Miss International Bangladesh 2024.
