Salman Khan’s long-delayed war drama ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ has reportedly received a No Objection Certificate from India’s Information and Broadcasting Ministry, bringing the film closer to theatres.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers submitted a revised version after concerns over its content. A source said the new version presents India-China relations in a more positive light.

The film was initially announced as ‘Battle of Galwan’ and is based on the 2020 India-China conflict. It was later renamed ‘Maatrubhumi’ and faced repeated delays.

The film still requires certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Salman is reportedly considering 13 November for its release if the process is completed this month, although the date has not been officially confirmed.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also stars Chitrangada Singh.
