Actress Robena Reza Jui has established herself as a more mature performer in recent years. Her performances in different roles have earned praise, while directors have also been casting her in challenging and diverse characters.
As part of that journey, young filmmaker Taifur Jahan Ashik has directed Jui in a drama titled Bubu. Al Amin Swapan wrote the drama, while Mohsin Akash served as associate director.
The drama was released on the Windmill Entertainment YouTube channel on 10 September. It has already attracted nearly 300,000 views.
Bubu tells the story of the eldest daughter in a family, focusing on the responsibilities she carries and the obstacles she faces while trying to fulfil them.
Jui said she had previously acted in a drama titled Boro Bon, which also received a positive response.
“I received a good response from viewers after Bubu was released. Over the past four or five days, I have received a lot of appreciation. People often cannot express how many responsibilities an eldest daughter in a family has and how many obstacles she faces while carrying them,” Jui said.
