Actor Rashmika Mandanna has announced that she will soon return to work, nearly a month after she opened up about a hip injury she suffered while shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa.
According to Hindustan Times, Rashmika shared the update in a recent Instagram post, where she gave fans a glimpse of how she spent time at home during her recovery.
The actor shared photographs and videos of herself performing pooja, playing with her dog, solving picture puzzles and relaxing while looking over her garden.
She said she would miss spending time at home as she prepared to resume work.
“I am getting back to work soon and I am definitely going to miss all of this!” she wrote.
Rashmika confirmed her injury on 3 August after reports emerged that she had suffered an injury while filming in July.
She said one of the tendons on the right side of her hip had detached during a dance sequence for Mysaa.
She explained that the tendon needed to reattach before she could properly lift her leg again.
Rashmika described Mysaa as the most physically demanding and aggressive film she had worked on. She also referred to her recovery period as a “forced holiday”.
During the break, she said she spent time solving puzzles and focusing on her recovery, while taking a temporary break from her usual exercise and running routine.
Before the injury, Rashmika had been working on several films, including Mysaa and Ranabaali.
Mysaa is an emotional action thriller set against the backdrop of the Gond tribes.
Rashmika plays the lead role of a Gond woman, marking a departure from her previous performances.
She will also appear alongside Vijay Deverakonda in Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan.
The Telugu period drama, set during the British Raj, tells a fictional story inspired by lesser-known chapters of Indian history and is slated for release on 11 September.
