Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor have given fans another reason to revisit the magic of Jab We Met. The former couple shared a warm hug at an IIFA event on Thursday, and footage of their friendly reunion quickly sparked excitement online.
According to The Indian Express, the actors greeted each other warmly at the event, bringing back memories of their much-loved pairing as Geet and Aditya in the hit film. Kareena wore a black leather top and skirt, while Shahid appeared in a crisp white suit. Their hug soon became a talking point on social media.
Fans were quick to share their emotions after the video surfaced. One X user wrote, “I am getting so emotional to seeing this,” while another described the moment as an “Awww moment”.
This was not the first time the former co-stars had stirred nostalgia with a public reunion. Last year, they met on stage at the IIFA conference in Jaipur. Their conversation attracted widespread attention online and reminded fans of the lasting appeal of Jab We Met.
The actors ended their relationship in 2007, towards the end of filming the romantic comedy. Both have since built families of their own. Kareena is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, and they have two sons, Taimur and Jeh. Shahid is married to Mira Rajput, and they have two children, Misha and Zain.
Fans also recently took notice when Mira appeared on Kareena’s talk show, What Women Want. A photograph of the two together circulated online, prompting interest in the friendly relationship between the actors’ families.
