Zee Studios will release Omung Kumar’s Silaa, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb, on 5 February 2027. Set against the landscapes of Kashmir and Vietnam, the film promises a mix of intense romance, mystery and high-octane action.
According to Variety, the film centres on Virat, played by Rane, and Silaa, played by Khateeb. Their intense relationship takes a tragic and violent turn, although the makers have kept much of the storyline under wraps. The film’s first posters have also been unveiled.
“Silaa has been one of the most challenging and exciting journeys for me as an actor,” Rane said in a statement to Deadline. He described Virat as a man driven by love who faces a fight for survival when unexpected circumstances push him into a new world. The character must also find the person he loves.
Kumar directs the film and produces it alongside Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Vanita Garud Kumar. Hemant Tiwari serves as co-producer.
“With Silaa, we wanted to create a film that takes audiences on a roller-coaster ride, where romance, action, mystery and adventure come together in an unexpected way,” Kumar said.
He added that the story explores the lengths a person will go to for love when everything they believe in faces a test. The team also wanted to create an expansive, visually striking world while keeping the emotions at the heart of the film.
Zee Studios has made Silaa in collaboration with Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment.
