The investigation into the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff has widened, with police examining reports that suspects surveyed Ranbir Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Investigators are also probing allegations that Salman Khan was the original target before the group allegedly shifted its focus to Tiger.
According to The Times of India, the Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating whether the reported reconnaissance of Ranbir’s home formed part of a wider conspiracy linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police have not confirmed whether Ranbir was a specific target. They are also examining the suspects’ movements before the shooting and whether the alleged surveillance related to the same plot or a separate plan targeting Bollywood personalities.
Investigators are probing the alleged supply of firearms and the possible role of Anil Pandit, whom police describe as an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The investigation is ongoing, and officers are yet to establish the suspects’ intentions or whether more people were involved.
Reports suggest the suspects initially considered attacking Salman Khan after arriving in Mumbai. They allegedly surveyed his residence but abandoned the plan after seeing the police personnel stationed outside. Investigators suspect they then turned their attention to Tiger Shroff.
According to police reports, the suspects allegedly learnt through fan posts and Instagram pages that Tiger would visit a football ground in Juhu on Sunday. They reportedly viewed him as an easier target because his movements involved fewer security arrangements. Police are examining how the suspects gathered information about the actors and whether the alleged plot involved other celebrities. These claims remain under investigation, and the sequence of events and motives have yet to be fully established.
