Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda and his wife, actress Lin Laishram, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple shared the news on Instagram on March 10, revealing that their daughter was born on the same day as Randeep’s father, Ranbir Hooda, turning the occasion into a special double celebration for the family.
Along with the announcement, the couple posted a photograph offering a glimpse of the newborn’s tiny fingers. In the caption, Randeep expressed his gratitude to his father and wife, writing that becoming a father has deepened his appreciation for his own parent. He also thanked Lin for bringing their daughter into the world and called the arrival of their baby girl “a lifetime of love”.
Just a day earlier, the couple had shared pictures from a maternity photoshoot on social media.
Randeep and Lin were married on November 29, 2023 in Imphal in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony. The couple first met during their theatre days at Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley theatre group, where they initially became friends before their relationship developed further.
Lin made her Bollywood debut with a cameo in ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007 and later appeared in films such as ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Rangoon’, ‘Qaidi Band’ and ‘Axone’.
Randeep began his film career with ‘Monsoon Wedding’ and later gained recognition with films including ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’, ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’, ‘Rang Rasiya’ and ‘Jism 2’.
