Arsenal mounted a dramatic second-half comeback to edge past Leeds United 2-1 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, moving temporarily to the summit of the Premier League table. Mikel Arteta’s side showed immense resolve after falling behind, striking twice within eight minutes to claim all three points in a high-octane round six encounter.

Leeds broke the deadlock against the run of play in the 55th minute. Left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson picked up space on the flank and whipped a low cross past the face of the Arsenal defence. Defender James Justin made a late run into the box and steered his finish beyond the goalkeeper.

The setback sparked an immediate response from the home side. Arsenal leveled in the 62nd minute when Ben White won a header inside the penalty area, flicking it across to Riccardo Calafiori. The Italian defender reacted quickly to slot home from close range.

The Gunners completed the turnaround in the 70th minute. A fluid passing move carved through the Leeds midfield before Declan Rice delivered a clever backheel into the path of Bruno Guimarães. The Brazilian substitute unleashed a low drive into the bottom right corner to seal the win.

The result moves Arsenal level with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League on 15 points. Leeds United remain fifth with 9 points following the defeat.
