Cinema halls across the country have been buzzing with festive energy this Eid-ul-Fitr, and Siam Ahmed has added to the excitement with his latest dark-thriller, ‘Rakkhosh’. The film has quickly captured audience attention since its release.
According to Bangla Movie Review (BMR), the film’s total multiplex gross over its first three days, from March 21 to March 24, reached Tk56.14 lakh. Rakkhosh continued to perform strongly on the third day, with 18 out of 22 shows: 19 at Star Cineplex and 3 at Lion Cinemas, selling out.
Commenting on the response, Siam Ahmed said, “Films are made for the audience and their reaction is the greatest achievement for an artist. The fact that viewers are connecting with Rakkhosh in the way we envisioned it is a huge success.”
The film’s item song, ‘Bilet Raja’, features vocals by GM Ashraf and Dola Rahman. Bollywood actress Natalia Janoszek appears alongside Siam in the performance, while Kolkata-based actress Sushmita Chatterjee plays a key role opposite her in the film.
