Railway advance Eid ticket sales from 13 May

Bangladesh Railway said online advance ticket sales are set to begin on 13 May, while return tickets will be available from 21 May to ensure a hassle-free journey for passengers during the Eid-ul-Adha.

According to the announced plan, tickets for travel on 23 May will be sold on 13 May. Subsequently, tickets for 24 May will be available on 14 May, followed by tickets for 25 May on 15 May. In the same pattern, tickets for 26 May will be sold on 16 May, and tickets for 27 May will be issued on 17 May.

The sale of return tickets is scheduled to start on 21 May for travel on 31 May. On 22 May, tickets for 1 June will be available, while tickets for 2 June will be sold on 23 May. Moreover, tickets for 3 June will be released on 24 May, and those for travel on 4 June will be available on 25 May.

The directive added that a single passenger can purchase a maximum of four tickets for both the outbound and return journeys, but only once for each phase. Tickets for the advance and return journeys will be non-refundable.

In response to passenger requests, 25 percent of the total seats (excluding upper classes) will be sold as standing tickets from station counters on the actual day of travel.
