Actress Sadia Jahan Prova used a New Year Facebook Live session to connect with fans and address intrusive personal questions.
Prova appeared online on the first day of the year and greeted viewers warmly. She explained that she went live after receiving many New Year messages from fans and colleagues.
At the start, she warned viewers she would avoid irrelevant or inappropriate questions.
While thanking fans, Prova shared her personal views on New Year greetings. She said she dislikes receiving continuous messages from night until the next day. Although she understands social customs, she believes good wishes should always be courteous. As the live continued, Prova invited viewers to ask questions in the comments.
She said she would respond to both positive and critical remarks. She also stated clearly that she would ignore offensive or poorly worded comments. Most viewers asked about her work and current professional engagements. Some viewers, however, asked personal questions about marriage, children and divorce.
Prova initially avoided those topics but later addressed them directly. She described such questions as a breach of basic manners and urged viewers not to question anyone publicly about personal matters. “Everyone hopes to have a family in their own time,” she said, adding that such events depend on destiny and require sensitivity.
Beyond social media, Prova remains busy with work and acting projects. Her debut film was released last year and she is slated to appear in two upcoming films, ‘Dui Poisar Manush’ and ‘Dena Pawna’, directed by Jhumur Asma and Sadeq Siddiqui respectively.
