Popular actress Priyanka Zaman is preparing to return to acting three months after becoming a mother.
Priyanka welcomed her daughter on June 29 and named her Mariam Binte Rakib. She took a brief break from acting following the birth of her child.
The actress is now excited about both her comeback and her daughter’s first modelling assignment. This week, Mariam will appear as a model on a Grameenphone billboard.
Priyanka was last seen in the television serial Madar. She later became occupied with marriage, family life and motherhood. She has now signed four dramas and plans to begin shooting for them one after another from November.
“After getting married, I could not really continue working regularly. I spent most of my time with Rakib and managing our family. Then I became pregnant, and our beautiful daughter came into our lives,” Priyanka said.
“I am now spending my time with her. However, I have already signed four dramas. Shooting for them will begin one after another from November. The stories of all four dramas revolve around me, so I am eagerly waiting to start working again,” she added.
Priyanka made her acting debut opposite popular actor Abdun Noor Sajal in two dramas, Prestige and Hridoyghotito. Her performances alongside Sajal immediately caught viewers’ attention, and she gained recognition after the dramas aired.
Since then, she has appeared in a number of dramas featuring strong stories. She also gained popularity as a model in the music video for Arifin Rumi’s song Ek Poloke.
Priyanka has additionally appeared in music videos for Asif Akbar’s Lukochuri and four or five other songs.
Born on January 14, Priyanka is the daughter of Asaduzzaman, a listed artist of Bangladesh Television. Her mother, Monowara Begum, has also consistently encouraged and supported her career.
