Celebrity couple Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas made a striking appearance at the 98th Academy Awards red carpet on March 15, bringing a touch of South-Asian glamour to the star-studded event. However, their journey to the venue nearly ended in drama moments before the ceremony.
Videos circulating on social media, first shared by TMZ, show the couple seated in a golf cart being driven to the Dolby Theatre. The vehicle appeared to pick up speed as staff hurried to get them to the event on schedule. At one point, a sharp turn and sudden acceleration caused the cart to tilt, with one wheel briefly lifting off the ground. The couple held on as the driver quickly regained control and stabilised the vehicle.
The incident reportedly occurred because their Sprinter van was not cleared to pass through the security perimeter near the venue, forcing organisers to transport them the final stretch by golf cart. Despite the brief scare, Chopra and Jonas stepped onto the red carpet composed and ready for their much-anticipated Oscars appearance.
Their glamorous arrival quickly became a highlight of the evening, capturing the attention of fans and photographers alike.
