A prisoner named Habibur Rahman (70) has died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
On Sunday morning, 5 October, around 9am, he was brought to the hospital from prison, where doctors declared him dead.
Confirming his death, Md Faruk, in charge of the Dhaka Medical Police Camp, cited the doctor’s statement.
He mentioned that prison officers brought him unconscious from the Dhaka Central Jail (Keraniganj), after which doctors examined him and declared him dead.
He further stated that the body has been kept in the morgue for an autopsy. The deceased had been incarcerated as a prisoner in the Dhaka Central Jail.
However, details of his case have not been immediately available. His father’s name was Abdul Aziz Talukdar.
