Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković held talks on Wednesday at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Croatia, with particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in economic affairs, trade and investment, skilled manpower, education and technology, according to Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary Md Nazmul Haque Khan.
The two leaders discussed ways to deepen the friendly ties between their countries and enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
Both sides underscored the importance of broadening cooperation in economic relations, trade and investment, human resource development, education, technology and other potential sectors.
They also highlighted the need to strengthen coordination between Bangladesh and Croatia in multilateral forums, including the United Nations, and to increase collaboration on international issues of common concern.
