Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has finally resumed filming his highly anticipated movie ‘Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka’ in India, following weeks of delays caused by visa complications for the cast and crew. Production sources confirmed that shooting is now underway and progressing smoothly.
The film was originally scheduled to begin shooting in India in December last year, but travel permits for the artists and team were held up, creating significant uncertainty. To keep the project on track for an Eid-ul-Fitr release, director Abu Hayat Mahmud started filming select scenes in Bangladesh on January 6.
A few sequences were also shot in Sri Lanka as a contingency. However, India remains a key location for the story, making the resumption of filming there essential.
Despite the progress, both Mahmud and producer Shirin Sultana have kept details under wraps. Sources indicate the team is focused on completing the Indian schedule quickly while maintaining confidentiality to avoid further disruptions. An official announcement is expected once a substantial portion of filming is complete.
The production delays have not dampened anticipation for the film, which is set to be a major Eid release.
