Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with University of Chittagong and Young Economists’ Society (YES), recently organised a seminar titled ‘Empowering Youth: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking Season 2.0’.
The event was held under the bank’s flagship academia banking initiative, PrimeAcademia, with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of banking, financial literacy, career readiness, and leadership skills.
Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking at Prime Bank M M Mahbub Hasan, delivered the keynote speech. He highlighted the critical importance of financial literacy, responsible money management, and the cultivation of healthy financial habits among the youth, read a press release.
Hasan emphasised that early financial awareness is vital for developing responsible citizens and future leaders. He further shared practical insights into savings discipline, digital banking awareness, and personal financial management, while detailing Prime Bank’s initiatives in youth, school, and inclusive banking.
The programme featured a special CV writing workshop conducted by CEO and Founder of HR Perception Siraj Uddin Chowdhury Rubel, providing participants with practical guidance on preparing professional CVs aligned with corporate expectations.
SVP and Regional Head of the Chattogram Region for Consumer Banking at Prime Bank Sarker Mehadhi Reza, also conducted an insightful session during the event.
The seminar was attended by several distinguished guests from the university, including Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan, Registrar Professor Mohammed Saiful Islam, and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Md Enayet Ullah Patwary.
The academics shared valuable insights regarding youth empowerment, employability, and skill development. YES President Rahnuma Rahman Nikita and General Secretary Shah Musa Al Kazim expressed their gratitude and delivered the vote of thanks.
The event concluded with interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and a crest exchange ceremony, providing a meaningful platform for the students’ professional and personal growth.
