Anoni, wife of martyr Amir Hossain, gave her testimony at the International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Monday against four individuals, including two army officers, in a case involving crimes against humanity committed in Rampura during July uprising.

She alleged before the tribunal that police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel shot her husband.

According to her testimony, Amir left their residence in West Ulon on 19 July 2024, to offer Jummah prayers, after which he joined the ongoing mass movement.

She noted that her husband was shot around 2:15pm.

At approximately 3:30pm, a landlord named Hasan called to inform the family that Amir had been shot in front of Ekramunnesa School in Rampura.

Anoni recounted that before her father and brother could leave for Better Life Hospital to see him, residents brought Amir back to their house, where she learned he had died on the way to the hospital.
