Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday enquired about the health condition of an opposition lawmaker who fell sick during the parliamentary session.
Satkhira-3 lawmaker Hafez Robiul Bashar became unwell around 1:40pm during the first sitting of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad.
He was taken to the Parliament lobby with assistance from fellow MPs and officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat.
On-duty physicians provided primary treatment there.
During the Zuhr prayers break, the prime minister went to the lobby and enquired about the lawmaker’s condition.
He also instructed the authorities concerned to ensure necessary treatment.
Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip and other whips were present at the time.
