Pakistan made one change in their side. Fast bowler Haris Rauf came in. Spinner Abrar Ahmed went out of the XI.
Pakistan started with attacking cricket. Young batter Maaz Sadaqat looked confident from the start. He showed his intent when he smashed a 146 kph ball from Nahid Rana for a straight six.
Maaz kept scoring quickly. Playing only his second ODI, he reached his first ODI fifty in just 31 balls.
At the other end, Sahibzada Farhan played a calm role. He held one end while Maaz kept the runs coming.
Maaz pushed Pakistan to a strong position with his quick scoring. But Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz broke the stand. He dismissed Maaz for 75 from 46 balls.
After that wicket, Pakistan slowed down. The Bangladesh bowlers built pressure with many dot balls.
Farhan then tried to attack. He went for a big shot against Taskin Ahmed. But he mistimed the ball and it went to third man. The fielder took the catch and Farhan was out for 31 from 46 balls.
Bangladesh picked up another wicket soon after. Fast bowler Nahid Rana removed Shamyl Hussain.
Since the early burst from Maaz, Pakistan have struggled to score freely. Rizwan and Salman are now trying to rebuild the innings as the match moves forward.
