HMD Global’s local manufacturing partner Cellextra Limited has launched the locally assembled Nokia 110 Power in Bangladesh, reviving one of the brand’s best-known feature phone series with a larger display, a 15-day battery life and a price tag of Tk2,899.
The handset was unveiled at a sales representatives’ conference at the Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka, where company officials positioned the device as a modern take on Nokia’s classic feature phones, targeting users seeking long battery life and essential mobile functions.
The Nokia 110 was among the world’s best-selling feature phones. The new Nokia 110 Power retains the brand’s familiar design while adding a 1,750mAh battery, which the manufacturer said can deliver up to 15 days of use on a single charge.
The handset also features a 2-inch display, a rear camera with LED flash and the return of Nokia’s classic Snake game.
The model is available in Blue, Grey and Purple.
Speaking at the launch, HMD Bangladesh Business Manager Kazi Al Amin, Cellextra Managing Director Riazul Islam, Head of Sales Mamun Khan and Chief Business Officer Mohammad Asif Alamgir said the locally manufactured handset combines Nokia’s durability with features designed to meet current consumer needs.
Cellextra, the sole manufacturer and distributor of Nokia phones in Bangladesh, said customers can verify the handset’s authenticity by sending an SMS with “KYD”, followed by the 15-digit IMEI number, to 16002. The service will confirm whether the device is genuine.
