BYD Bangladesh will plant one tree for every completed test drive at its outlets nationwide throughout September as part of its ‘BYD Green Drive’ initiative, combining electric vehicle adoption with environmental action.
The campaign, running from 1 to 30 September under the theme “Drive Today. Grow Tomorrow”, will calculate the total number of trees to be planted based on completed test drives during the period, said a press release.
The initiative forms part of BYD’s broader environmental efforts and aligns with the company’s global vision, “Cool the Earth by 1°C”.
“A test drive is often where a customer’s journey with a vehicle begins. We wanted to make that first step count for something beyond the drive itself. With Green Drive, each journey can help create something that keeps growing, and together, those journeys can make a meaningful contribution to a greener Bangladesh,” said Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer at BYD Bangladesh.
Customers can participate in the initiative by taking a test drive of BYD New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) at any BYD outlet in Bangladesh during the campaign period.
BYD Bangladesh said the programme reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable mobility while encouraging greater environmental awareness among consumers.
