NCC Bank has donated Tk1 crore to Dhaka Community Hospital for the purchase of a high-resolution CT scan machine.

The donation was made from the bank’s corporate social responsibility fund as Dhaka Community Hospital, a 500-bed non-profit hospital, currently lacks its own high-resolution CT scan facility. The machine is expected to support diagnosis and treatment, particularly for trauma, stroke, emergency and cancer patients.

NCC Bank Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim handed over a cheque for Tk1 crore to Dhaka Community Hospital Trust Acting Chairman Quazi Habibur Rhaman at an event held at the bank’s head office recently.

Salim said the CT scan machine would enable patients to receive rapid diagnosis and treatment while reducing some of the financial burden on patients and their families.

NCC Bank Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin said the assistance would enhance Dhaka Community Hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and help provide essential healthcare at an affordable cost.
Quazi Habibur Rhaman thanked NCC Bank for the support and said the support would fill a crucial gap in the hospital’s diagnostic services and enable it to provide CT scan services more efficiently and cost-effectively.
