Controversial singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has been granted bail in a high-profile embezzlement case. The Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, approved the bail on Sunday, April 5, on a bond of five thousand taka, pending the hearing of the charge sheet.
Noble had been remanded in prison after his previous bail was cancelled on April 2 following allegations of violating bail conditions, including assaulting the complainant. He was originally arrested on February 23, 2026, in Narayanganj, after an arrest warrant was issued in February.
The case stems from claims that Noble, between August 2023 and June 2025, embezzled approximately Tk13.18 lakh from a woman named Ananya Shobnom Rose by luring her with promises of marriage.
The singer’s mother, wife, assistant and an acquaintance are also accused of involvement. Investigations by the Police Bureau of Investigation confirmed the allegations earlier this year on January 7 upon finding evidence for the allegations against Noble.
Noble’s legal team confirmed there are no obstacles to his release and he is expected to remain free while proceedings continue.
