Singer Nirjo Habib is set to return with his upcoming romantic song Obujh Prem, a project that combines emotion, cinematic storytelling and international visuals. The song will be released on 6 August 2026 under leading Bangladeshi music label G Series.
With a musical career spanning more than a decade, Nirjo Habib has established himself as a versatile singer, performer and creative force in contemporary Bangla music.
Born into a music-loving family, Nirjo grew up surrounded by artistic inspiration. From the beginning of his career, he focused on romantic and emotional songs that connected with audiences in Bangladesh and beyond.
His solo album Nisshongota became a major milestone during 2013–14. The album received a strong response from listeners and featured duet tracks with popular singers Nancy and Dilshad Nahar Kona. Alongside his solo projects, Nirjo has also worked on numerous mixed albums with several established artists in the Bangladeshi music industry.
His playback song Chuye Dilam from filmmaker Shihab Shaheen’s film Chhuye Diley Mon further strengthened his position in the music scene and became a memorable achievement in his career.
Over the years, Nirjo Habib has contributed to more than 60 Bangladeshi drama songs featuring popular stars including Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Afran Nisho, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Tanjin Tisha and Tasnia Farin. His popular song Khub Eka has crossed 12 million views on YouTube, reflecting his growing popularity among Bangla music audiences worldwide.
His music is available on major global streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other international digital services.
Beyond Bengali music, Nirjo is also working on original English and Hindi songs as part of his ambition to reach a wider international audience. He has also released and performed several English and Hindi cover songs, showcasing his versatility as a multilingual artist.
Lyricist and composer Sirajum Munir has remained an important figure in Nirjo’s musical journey. Nirjo describes their relationship as that of brothers, and their collaboration has produced several memorable songs appreciated by listeners.
Apart from music, Nirjo Habib is a textile engineer who built a successful engineering career in Bangladesh. He later completed his Global MBA in the United Kingdom. Alongside his music career, he currently works with a British brand and continues performing at concerts and cultural programmes across the UK and Bangladesh.
The music video of Obujh Prem promises a cinematic experience, featuring Nirjo alongside blogger and model Marjan Manik. Shot across breathtaking locations in two countries within the United Kingdom, the project blends romance, storytelling and scenic visuals.
Ahmed Mintu serves as the lead cinematographer, while Fahim Imteaz worked as cinematographer. Nirjo Habib and Mizanur Rafi wrote the lyrics, while Hridoy Hasin arranged the music.
Showcasing his creative abilities, Nirjo also directed the music video. His wife Jerin Bhuya, an actress and winner of Miss Kumarika 2016 in Bangladesh, worked as the assistant director.
Following Obujh Prem, Nirjo is preparing to release another anticipated music video, Prarthona. The project will feature English model Tamsin and mark another international collaboration.
Sources close to the singer said Nirjo is also preparing several new creative projects, including music videos, web films and web series productions in the UK featuring international artists. With his growing global exposure and continued focus on music and visual storytelling, Nirjo Habib is entering a new phase of his artistic journey.
