Motaleb Shikdar, Khulna divisional chief of National Citizen Party (NCP) and convener of Shramik Shakti, was shot by miscreants in Khulna’s Sonadanga on Monday.
He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a critical condition around 12:30pm, said Sonadanga Police Station’s Officer-in-charge Kabir Hossain.
Police visited the scene and are investigating the incident to identify those responsible.
Earlier, on 12 December, Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi was shot in Bijoynagar, Dhaka. He died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital.
