Navy chief leaves for Saudi Arabia on official visit

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah-Ul-Azim left Dhaka on Saturday for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.

According to a release from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, the Navy chief will pay courtesy calls on the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and the Commander of the Multinational Maritime Defense Coalition.

Discussions will cover matters of mutual interest, including friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia and cooperation between the two navies.

The Navy chief is also scheduled to visit military and naval installations in Saudi Arabia and exchange views on professional ties, training, and other areas of cooperation.

The ISPR said the visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and fraternal relations between the two countries.
