To foster the talent and innovative capacity of technical students, the institutional phase of the “Skills and Innovation Competition 2025” was held on Saturday, across more than two hundred technical education institutions throughout the country.
A total of 3,209 innovative projects participated in the competition, according to a press release.
This unique competition, designed to showcase new innovations and discoveries of technical students, was held simultaneously in 227 technical education institutions nationwide, including public and private polytechnic institutes as well as technical schools and colleges.
The competition was organised under the Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) Project, implemented by the Directorate of Technical Education under the Technical and Madrasah Education Division of the Ministry of Education.
Secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division, Ministry of Education Muhammad Rafiqul Islam among other prominent members of the ministry were present at several technical education institutions in Barishal to witness the institutional phase.
In addition, Additional Secretary to the Government and Project Director of the ASSET Project Engineer Mir Zahid Hasan along with officials from the Technical and Madrasah Education Division, the Directorate of Technical Education, and various projects under the Directorate, visited the competition venues across the country and encouraged students.
The regional phase of the Skills and Innovation Competition 2025 will be held throughout October and November, while the national phase will take place in December this year. The inventors of the top three innovative projects in the final round will be awarded attractive prizes, the release went on to say.
