After dominating YouTube’s list of the most-watched Bangla dramas for years, Boro Chele has slipped another place in the rankings.
The acclaimed drama starring Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Mehazabien Chowdhury now sits in third place, while Mamar Bari has climbed to second.
Topping the list is Shoshurbari Te Eid, which has held the No. 1 spot since last year with 74 million views on YouTube.
Directed by Mohin Khan, the family drama follows a young man spending Eid at his in-laws’ house for the first time.
Starring Niloy Alamgir, Jannatul Sumaiya Himi and Tariq Anam Khan, the drama blends family relationships, humorous misunderstandings and emotional moments.
The second position is occupied by another Mohin Khan directorial, Mamar Bari, which has amassed 61 million views.
Featuring Niloy Alamgir and Himi, the rural family drama revolves around inheritance disputes and light-hearted incidents, winning audiences with its simple storytelling and relatable characters.
Once the undisputed leader, Boro Chele has now dropped to third with 58 million views.
Directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan, the drama tells the emotional story of the eldest son in a middle-class family, highlighting sacrifice, responsibility and the burden of putting family before personal dreams.
The performances of Apurba and Mehazabien continue to resonate with viewers years after its release.
