Sony Pictures is reportedly preparing a theatrical rerelease of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ featuring previously unseen footage, including a scene with Rosario Dawson, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

The potential rerelease does not yet have a confirmed date. Dawson previously revealed that she filmed a scene as Claire Temple, her Marvel character from ‘Daredevil’, ‘Jessica Jones’, ‘Luke Cage’, ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘The Defenders’, but it was cut from the theatrical version.

Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal star in the superhero film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has become the highest-grossing film ever at the US domestic box office, earning more than $950 million. Its worldwide total stands at around $2.49 billion, making it the third-highest-grossing film globally.

The rerelease could help the Marvel Studios title cross the $1 billion mark in North America.
