No visitors will be permitted to enter the Bangladesh Secretariat without a One-Time Password (OTP), according to a directive issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The decision was conveyed on Wednesday in a circular issued by the Secretariat Security Branch of the ministry, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Tofael Hossain.
According to the circular, an increasing trend of visitors entering the Bangladesh Secretariat without proper entry passes or authorisation permits has recently been observed.
The notification highlighted that such unauthorised entry poses a risk to the overall security system of the Secretariat and threatens to disrupt the normal environment of official government activities.
Under these circumstances, relevant authorities have been instructed to grant entry permission to Secretariat visitors only after proper verification of their OTP prior to admission.
