Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu has announced that a ‘One-Stop Service’, modelled after developed countries, will be introduced to eliminate problems and irregularities in the land sector.

The minister made these remarks while speaking to journalists on Friday following a courtesy meeting with people from all walks of life at the Padma Community Centre in Rajshahi.

Minu stated that the primary objective of modernising the Ministry of Land is to end the harassment of service seekers and ensure transparency.

He noted that the ministry is governed by law and that necessary instructions are being issued in accordance with those legal frameworks. Minu further added that directives for rectification would be provided in instances where irregularities or complexities are identified.

He emphasised that the ‘One-Stop Service’ or single service centres will be launched to bring land services to the doorsteps of the people and ensure the swift disposal of cases. This initiative aims to allow the general public to access desired services more easily and in less time.

In addition to land reforms, the minister spoke regarding the development of the region, stating that an industrial environment would be fostered in the North, including the IT sector, to create employment and meet the expectations of the residents of Rajshahi.

The courtesy meeting was attended by local dignitaries, political leaders, and individuals from various professions.
