Metro rail operations resumed on Monday morning.

The services were suspended from around 8pm on Sunday after two individuals climbed onto a train roof at Dhaka’s Secretariat Station.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the operator of the metro rail, on Sunday night announced in a message that train services had been stopped from 8pm and could take longer to resume.

Operations were halted for safety, with police detaining one person while the other jumped onto the metro track and ran.
