A meeting was held Monday morning to discuss replacing the existing sound system in the Jatiya Sangsad with advanced technology.
The meeting, held at the Cabinet Room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, was attended by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and presided over by Acting Speaker Kayser Kamal.
Discussions centered on ensuring an efficient and seamless replacement of the current system. The Public Works Department presented potential technological alternatives, technical capabilities, and implementation plans, alongside a detailed review of modern sound systems used globally.
Opposition Leader and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shafiqur Rahman, Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher, and Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman were present at the meeting.
The presentation highlighted technical features and effectiveness of modern systems, stressing compatibility with parliamentary proceedings. Participants shared insights and issued directives on the proposed modernisation.
